2009 Biennial Conference
June 18-21, 2009
The Society for Community Research and Action (Division 27 of the American Psychological Association) invites you to its 12th Biennial Conference hosted by Montclair State University, Montclair, NJ, in collaboration with Rutgers University.
Realizing Our New Vision: Values and Principles for Practice, Research, and Policy
Beginning in 2005, SCRA initiated an extensive re-visioning process that examined the development of the field of community psychology over its 40 year history in the United States since Swampscott. The new vision statement, which was developed by the Community Practice Working Group, recommended by SCRA's Executive Committee, and approved by the membership, reads as follows:
The Society for Community Research and Action (SCRA) will have a strong, global impact on enhancing well-being and promoting social justice for all people by fostering collaboration where there is division and empowerment where there is oppression.
