SCRA NE Regional Conference at EPA

March 5, 2009. SCRA NE's Conference provides an opportunity for community-minded academics, field-based practicioners and students in the Northeast Region to come together to share their research & evaluation, prevention & intervention, coalition building, community advocacy, and social justice work. Inter-disciplinary submissions are welcome and encouraged.

Northeast Regional Conference at EPA
The SCRA Northeast Regional Coordinating Committee invites paper, poster, workshop, symposium and panel proposals for its SCRA NE Conference at the 2010 Annual Meeting of the Eastern Psychological Association. EPA will be held at the Marriott New York at the Brooklyn Bridge - Thursday, March 4 to Sunday, March 7, 2010. The SCRA NE Conference will take place on Friday, March 5, 2010.
SCRA NE's Conference provides an opportunity for community-minded academics, field-based practicioners and students in the Northeast Region to come together to share their research & evaluation, prevention & intervention, coalition building, community advocacy, and social justice work. Inter-disciplinary submissions are welcome and encouraged.
Topic areas may include, but are not limited to:
* Empowerment
* Multiculturalism
* Mental Health
* Violence
* Substance Abuse
* Gender
* Health Promotion and Wellness
* Poverty & Homelessness
* HIV/AIDS
* Spirituality
To be part of the SCRA NE Conference at EPA, please send your submission in Word format to NESCRA@gmail.com by Monday, October 26, 2009.
Submissions should include:
Names, affiliations and e-mail addresses of all authors (be sure to specify the lead contact person for the submission)
Names and affiliations of the person(s) who will be presenting your work at the NE SCRA Conference
Proposal type (paper, poster, symposium, workshop, panel)
Title
Short abstract (75 words)
Long abstract (500-1000 words)
Submission decisions will be made by November 6, 2009. At that time, authors of accepted proposals will be given instructions for sending their proposals
directly to EPA by November 15, 2009. Authors will need to be EPA members in order to submit their accepted proposal to EPA.
