FULL-TIME LECTURER POSITION - HUMAN AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

The Department of Educational and Psychological Studies in the School of Education at the University of Miami invites applications for a full-time lecturer to join the undergraduate program in Human and Social Development beginning August 15, 2010. 

The major in Human and Social Development integrates individual, interpersonal, social, and community approaches to the promotion of healthy development and well-being. HSD majors choose between two areas of concentration (tracks) in accordance with their areas of interest and future career goals: Track I: Individual and Relational Development (HSDI) and Track II: Community and Program Development (HSDC). 

Responsibilities: Teaching undergraduate level courses, overseeing and supervising practicum experiences of students, and some student advising.

Qualifications: Doctorate in psychology or related filed; demonstrated experience working with community organizations; experience teaching and working with undergraduate students; and experience advising and mentoring students.  Applicants should send a resume, cover letter, and three letters of references to Dr. Guerda Nicolas, Chairperson, Educational and Psychological Studies, University of Miami, P.O.
