The Committee for Women is looking forward to a productive and energizing biennial. We have planned multiple sessions and would like to take the time to familiarize you with our biennial events:

First, please join us on the morning of Friday 6/17 for our business meeting, location TBD. Anyone and everyone interested in the committee is welcome to attend. Breakfast will be provided.

Second, we will be holding a session on work/life integration entitled Living while we work and working while we live: Balancing family and work life, on Friday 6/17 from 11:45-12:30pm in Roosevelt University 320. Participants from both practitioner and academic settings, male and female, professionals and students, are welcome to participate in this discussion.

Along the same line, we invite you to check out our poster, detailing our results from the SCRA Committee for Women Workplace Survey, to be presented at the Friday 6/17 poster session from 4:30 to 5:45pm in Roosevelt University's Congress Lounge.

Also, we will be holding a session on mentoring, entitled From Millennials to Boomers: A discussion of women's mentoring needs, on Saturday, 6/18 from 4 to 4:45pm in Roosevelt University 410.

Please join us for our biennial staple, Women's Night Out, on Saturday 6/18 at Park Grill in Millennium Park. You can preview the restaurant here: We will be meeting at 7pm on the terrace. Please join us for a night of food, fun, and conversation!

Finally, in response to feedback from the 2009 biennial, we are helping with arrangements for a ChildCare Swap. If you are interested in getting linked with other biennial attendees who will be accompanied by their children for purposes of exchanging childcare, or just for linking up during the conference, please contact Michele Schlehofer by email at with your name, ages and names of children, and any specific dates and times which you are in need of childcare or available for childcare.

Thank you so much, and we look forward to seeing you in June!
