Please distribute this position description for a Program Evaluator to
be based in Bloomington, IN.

Centerstone Research Institute (CRI) in Bloomington, IN is seeking a
part-time or full-time Program Evaluator to direct the evaluation of one
or more federally-funded (SAMHSA) grant projects, including preparation
of reports, analyses, and publications. The projects are a continuum of
care for adults with or at risk of HIV/AIDS and with co-occurring
disorders (substance abuse and mental health) and a program for adults
who are homeless and have co-occurring disorders. CRI is the research
and evaluation branch of Centerstone-America, the largest behavioral
healthcare provider in the country. (

_Job Responsibilities:_
• Designs evaluation, develops instruments and procedures, and guides
evaluation implementation
• Interviews, hires, trains, and supervises data collection and data
entry staff
• Monitors data quality
• Helps develop project databases and generate automated reports
• Conducts data analyses (univariate and multivariate analyses)
• Prepares IRB applications, informed consent documents, and continuations
• Prepares required federal reports and annual grant continuation
• Prepares ongoing internal reports for program management and staff
• Collaborates with evaluation/research staff, program staff, and
federal, state, and local partners
• Assists principal investigator with some grant coordination activities
• Authors presentations and publications
• Assists in the development of grant applications

• Doctoral degree in psychology, sociology, social work, program
evaluation, public health or related field
• Minimum of 2 years experience managing evaluation/research projects
• Minimum of 2 years experience supervising staff
• Mental health knowledge and/or experience are required; relevant
experience in content area(s) is desirable
• Proficiency in Excel, Access, and SPSS or SAS
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work well as a member of a team
• Superior writing skills
• Considerable travel to program sites and occasional travel to CRI in
Nashville, TN

_Salary Range:_ $40,000-50,000+, depending upon qualifications and
