Two faculty openings in the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology at Rutgers
Here's an announcement for one or two faculty openings in the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology at Rutgers. The rank is open.
The positions are in the School Psychology program, which, as the announcement notes, "focuses on supporting the emotional and social development of children and youth in educational settings." The program also emphasizes "the importance of context and systems..." Given this emphasis, we will welcome applications from community psychologists interested in schools and/or community-based interventions on behalf of children and families.
Rutgers already has a strong community contingent, including two former presidents of SCRA (Maurice Elias and Cary Cherniss). Other community-oriented psychologists at Rutgers include Anne Gregory (a core faculty member in the School Psychology program) and Andy Peterson.
I am chair of the search committee, so feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I hope some of you will apply!
