Please describe your primary work including the setting and primary focus of your work:
My current work focuses on promoting community health and development through program support and strategic philanthropy. I assist health-related foundations in a number of areas including the grant review process, program planning, project management, and nonprofit organization capacity building. Most recently, my work is focused on identifying and implementing systems approaches to promote healthy eating and physical activity, identifying and organizing skill building opportunities for strengthening the capacity of nonprofit organizations, and strengthening the capacity of community foundations to convening and plan around locally identified health issues.

 I have a Ph.D. in Community Psychology from the University of Kansas. Working with the Work Group on Health Promotion and Community Development provided me with many hands-on opportunities for learning.
