New Position: Open Rank, Assistant or Associate Professor
ARSH, the Center for Applied Research on Substance Use and Health Disparities at Nova Southeastern University is recruiting a full time faculty member for a research position at its Miami, Florida office. ARSH’s research portfolio is focused on the epidemiology, prevention, and treatment of substance abuse and HIV infection, as well as other co-occurring health disparities, among highly vulnerable populations.
The successful applicant will have a PhD in a social or behavioral science, epidemiology, public health, or other related discipline, as well as a strong record of research and publication in substance use and / or HIV epidemiology, prevention and /or treatment. A history of externally funded research is strongly preferred. The position is open to a wide range of research interests, target populations, and geographic focuses. Nova Southeastern University is home to a wide array of departments and research centers in the medical and health fields, presenting the successful candidate with a range of options for secondary appointments and research collaborations.
Rank and compensation will be based on qualifications and funding. The start date is flexible. Continuing support is dependent upon overall performance as well as the candidate’s and the Center’s success in acquiring external research funding.
