I am pleased to share this tenure-track position opening in Human Development & Family Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Please share the announcement with any interested candidates:
The Department of Human Development and Family Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor with responsibilities focused on Diverse and Underserved Children, Families and Communities. This is 12-month, tenure-track integrated appointment with 25% resident responsibilities and 75% Extension responsibilities for Family Living Programs, University of Wisconsin-Extension, Cooperative Extension.
We seek scholars who have a record of applied research and experience working with diverse individuals or underserved populations, organizations and communities as defined by cultural, racial, ethnic background or economic situation. While the emphasis of the position is on diverse and underserved families, the specific area of focus is open and might include one or more of the following: parenting, stress and coping, family and couple relationships; divorce, single parenthood, stepfamilies and new family structures; school-based and community-based prevention education programs; and family dynamics and resiliency. Candidates will be expected to design, adapt, implement and evaluate research-based statewide educational programs that focus on positive child and family outcomes, develop a strong applied research program, compete for extramural funding, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
