The Department of Women and Gender Studies (www.wgs.udel.edu) at the University of Delaware invites applicants for an advanced assistant professor, tenure track, or associate professor, either tenure track or tenured depending on qualifications, to begin to begin September 1, 2016.
Applicants should have a scholarly interest in gender-based violence, such as intimate partner violence, sexual assault, violence against LGTBQQ individuals, and related topic areas. In addition, the candidate should have methodological strengths in quantitative analysis to support data analytic scholarship and teaching in the department and the social sciences within the College of Arts and Sciences. Candidates should also be prepared to teach a range of introductory through upper-level interdisciplinary courses that support the academic mission of Women and Gender Studies.
A Ph.D. is required at the time of application, and candidates must already be at the associate or advanced assistant professor level with a scholarly record commensurate with receiving tenure at a high research activity university.
Candidates must apply online at interfolio.com, uploading the following: a letter of application; curriculum vitae; three academic recommendations; and a published scholarly article or book chapter. The letter should include an account of the candidate's teaching experience and philosophy, scholarship, and intended contributions to UD’s commitment to diversity as a core value. The department will also review the CV, letters of reference, and application materials.
