ASSISTANT PROFESSOR-DEVELOPMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY, DePaul University - Chicago, IL
The Department of Psychology at DePaul University seeks to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the developmental area of the Psychological Science Program to begin in September 2015. Excellent research and teaching skills and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate instruction are prerequisites. Applicants' area of specialization in Developmental Psychology is open. The successful candidate will be expected to: (1) contribute to graduate programs by teaching graduate developmental psychology and supervising research projects, masters theses, and doctoral dissertations; (2) teach courses in the psychology department's undergraduate core curriculum and university liberal studies program and to provide research experiences for undergraduate students; and (3) make distinctive contributions to the scientific literature in developmental psychology. Applicants are expected to demonstrate strong statistical skills, significant scholarly promise, and the potential to attract external funding. Completion of the Ph.D. in developmental psychology or a related field is required prior to hiring.
