One year postdoctoral fellowship in Applied Community Psychology. This position provides practical experience in five core competency areas: Foundational Principles [e.g. ecological perspectives], Community Program Development [e.g. prevention and health promotion], Community and Organizational Capacity-Building [e.g. leadership and decision-support, change management], Community and Social Change [e.g. community development], and Community Research [e.g. program evaluation and applied research on health outcomes]. Concentrated practicum also includes a focus on developing communication skills [written, oral and new media], program management and finance.
The successful candidate will have completed a doctorate in community psychology (or a closely related field), have the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholder and community groups, work independently on multiple projects, and be well grounded in community psychology theory, research and application. Individuals with interests and experience in population (community) health, health literacy, health disparities, coalition building and/or applied participatory research are encouraged to apply.
