RUNAWAY CLEARINGHOUSE PROJECT DIRECTOR

Development Services Group, Inc. (DSG), a national research, evaluation, and technical assistance firm specializing in family and youth services, health and behavioral health services, and juvenile justice services, is seeking a Project Director for a Homeless Youth and Families project. The Project Director will assume supervisory responsibility for all aspects of operating a national clearinghouse.

Requirements:

Candidates must possess substantive knowledge of runaway and homeless youth and family services (including safe and stable housing, education, employment, permanent connections, social, emotional, and physical well- being, underserved populations, and youth and young adults at risk of or who have experienced human trafficking).

Candidates must also have experience managing the scope of national clearinghouses and resource centers, including operating an information resource service, developing and writing technical assistance publications and documents (including briefing papers, speeches and talking points), creating a communication plan, developing outreach plans, and facilitating collaborative activities on behalf of a Federal agency.

Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in services and programs available to homeless youth in at-risk situations, their families and communities, including knowledge of relevant research, evidence-based practices, and the ability to evaluate the quality and value of research on a wide variety of youth and family related topics. In addition, candidates must have at least 10 years of experience related to knowledge and experience in concepts, research, data collection, analysis of programs based upon the trauma-informed care approach, positive youth development model which includes addressing risk and protective factors.

Candidates must demonstrate a history of effective leadership in the successful and timely delivery of products and services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop project plans, including strategies to accomplish tasks, resource allocation, timelines and milestones, and contingency planning.
  •  Assume day-to- day responsibility for ensuring that all aspects of the project are completed on time and within budget. 
  • Analyze and interpret youth-related issues, legislation and policy proposals. 
  • Provide objective and unbiased advice to the client, demonstrating in-depth understanding of youth-related issues. 
  • Direct social media and digital content strategy and communications plans. 
  • Oversee overall marketing strategy for the project. 
  • Ensure quality of all online, social media, and print materials by adhering to HHS standards and 508 compliance. 
  • Promote program priorities by writing talking points, blogs, summaries, reports, and other special publications. 

Candidates must have substantial experience in a heavily client-facing role, demonstrating excellent leadership, a detail-oriented management style, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
