Postdoctoral Training Fellowship Preventing Obesity in Children & Youth with Developmental Disabilities Through Engaged-Research

We are accepting applications for a podoctoral training fellowship funded by the DHHS, National Institute on Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research, Community Living and Participation program.  This is a 2-year training opportunity.  The fellow will become part of our PODER Team (Preventing Obesity in Children & youth with Developmental Disabilities Through Engaged-Research.  This is a 5-year NIDILRR funded research grant, examining the social determinants of health impacting Latino children and youth with developmental disabilities and designing, implementing, and evaluating culturally relevant community interventions. This is a multi-site study with data collection and interventions taking place in Chicago and Austin, Texas.  The fellow will work in collaboration with a multidisplinary team of scholars and community stakeholders, including health promoters (promotoras de salud).
