SCRA Grants & Funding Opportunities
The Council on Cultural, Ethnic, and Racial Affairs (CERA) is thrilled to announce a funding opportunity. We seek to fund activities and projects geared toward advancing racial justice and equity. The Action for Racial Justice and Equity Fund (ARJEF) is designed to support community-focused and grassroots organizations that are committed to eradicating systemic racism in North America and across the globe, and that center the voices and interests of people of Black, African, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, Pacific Islander and/or Middle Eastern descent in community organizing, public policy or advocacy, community intervention and prevention, healthcare and human service delivery, and social issues. Two (2) applicants will receive a grant of up to $3000. Deadline to apply is November 11, 2024.
The SCRA Student Research Grant is funded by the Society for Community Research and Action (SCRA) and presented by the Society’s Student Representatives, Emmanuel-Sathya Gray and Annalise Tolley, to supplement the financial needs of students’ thesis or dissertation projects. The grant is competitive, and selection is based on the quality of the student’s grant application, feasibility, relevance to community psychology values and methods, and demonstration of financial need to complete the proposed project. A minimum of five (5) grants up to $1,000 USD will be awarded to students. Deadline to apply is April 6th, 2025.
